The Airport Piano Man

by Joyce

Watching his hands rolling over the keys,
Creating soft tones of melodies.
Adding mellifluous vibrations,
To the hustle and flurry,
As travelers hurry by.

Hand and finger motions
Pass over the ivories,
Like an assiduous spider,
Weaving a musical web.

Fingers flow fluently like butterflies,
Lighting on flowers in the spring.
The piano man, oblivious
To the waves and squalls of people,
Continues to stroke gently through the spray.

The cadence of the strings,
Skipping and vibrating,
Creates a melody
Of Optimism and Solitude.

What a gift to us all,
Travelers passing though.
The melodious sounds of,
The Airport Piano Man
